I know of no connection between the Box family and the Williamson family other than that exposed in the Will of John Box of Laurens Co. It seems John Box had a daughter (not named in his will because she was apparently deceased, that married a Williamson, not named in John's will) who had a son named Elisha Williamson. John Box's Will was administered by his friend, Elisha Williamson, who I think would also be a grandfather to Elisha Williamson, grandson of John Box.

The presence of Williamson as a middle name of your Jacob Gibson suggests a relationship to these Williamsons who lived in Laurens County SC around 1815 when the will was written.

Current research suggests this John Box was a brother of Robert Box who married Mary Williams and they were sons of Robert Box, the elder.
