The migration pattern from NC to SC to GA is found in the family of Michael Box, Sr. who we presume is a son of Joseph Box of Laurens County SC. There is documentation that seems to link Michael Box to Orange Co. NC where we assume he married Mary Keys Bolton sometime before moving to Laurens County in 1782. We have found military records (which, so far, provide little more than names)that indicate Michael Box, John Box, Robert Box, Edward Box, Henry Box, and Jos. Box had military service in North Carolina Revolutionary war efforts. All of these men appear to have had connections with South Carolina.
