The documentation known at this time indicates the Box family of Laurens County, South Carolina descends from Robert and Phillis Box first noted in 1728 in New Castle County, Delaware. This Robert Box could be the “missing link” between the Robert and Mary Allen Box of Virginia and the Boxes of Lauren County, South Carolina but there is presently no documentation to support that assumption.
