All documentation discovered to date indicates Rebecca Box Jones, wife of Andrew Jones was the daughter of Abraham and Catherine Lindley Box. She was probably named after Catherine's sister. Rebecca Lindley. Two deeds in Laurens County, South Carolina link Andrew Jones with Abraham Box. In 1804, Andrew Jones sold a tract of land on Horse Creek "whereon sd. Andrew Jones now lives" that was witnessed by Abraham Box and in 1805 Andrew Jones sold a tract of land on Horse Creek that was witnessed by Shadrack Box, brother of Abraham Box, and where Rebecca Jones waived her dower rights. Andrew and Rebecca Jones are found associated with other members of Abraham Box's family in the census 1800, 1810, 1830 and 1840. Andrew and Rebecca Jones had a son named Abraham and a daughter named Catherine.
