Barbra, I do appreciate your compliment but must confess I am blessed with distant cousins who are very generous with their genealogical knowledge.

I do have more on the family of Robert Box, born 1789, and will post it for you after the holidays.

We believe his father was enumerated as Robert Bax, Sr. in the 1820 census of Franklin Co. TN.

1820 Census Franklin County, Tennessee
161 Bax (Box), Robert Senr., 1 male under 10; 2 males between 16 and 18; 4 males 16 to 26; 1 male over 45 and 3 females 10 to 16; 1 female over 45. 4 persons in agriculture; No slaves.

This census shows Robert and Jane Goodwin Box with 5 sons (Neely, the youngest, Goodwin, Micajah, James and George) in their household (John, the oldest, was enumerated in Franklin Co. TN as John Bax and Robert Box, born 1789, was enumerated in Franklin Co. AL) and 3 daughters (Mary is probably married to Charles McDaniel). JAF
