Actually his name was Daniel Jesse Box, my greatgrandfather, and his first marriage was to Cornelia Little Thompson Burgess. There were 8 children to this marriage, and then he married Lucinda Adonah Davenport, whose mother was Lucinda Francis Box, daughter of Allen and Mary Box. There were 9 children to this marriage with only one child making it to adulthood, my grandmother Canzadia Mae Box.
We have a written family history that comes from my mother that we go by.I am working now on actually documenting it.As far as Kansada, I believe that is "Ransala" on the census. From experience with my mother's family tree, and working with my grandfather's side, I would say it's 99% accurate. The only descrepency being, what differant family members called someone. Such as like my grandmother being called Cannie instead of Canzadia and the fact that she didn't add any dates to it, just people and relationships.
And just a little more on Daniel Jesse: Daniel Jessie Box was a drummer in the Civil War.He enlisted November 23, in the 10th Al Reg't, Co. A.He was discharged May 15, 1865 from the 10th Alabama Infantry, Company R, with a gunshot wound to the right thigh. He is buried at Bethel Cemetery, Pulaski County, Arkansas with his second wife.If anyone knows the burial location for his first wife, I would be interested in knowing this. Will have to look, when I get home on the spouses of the other children.Pris
