Phil,
The original rolls for the China Medal 1900 are at Kew under reference ADM171-55. I have a printed comilation of this roll in book form.
It's perhaps significant that he didn't qualify for the bar for Taku Forts.

I also have a casualty list compiled from various previously unpublished sources from the MOD, London Gazette etc (which I've only now had a chance to look at)

The relevant entry reads:
Po8934 Pte H.Robinson HMS Orlando, Killed in action at Langfang 17 June - Bullet wound through brain, fractured skull
