Decatur County Journal
March 3l, l898

Married, at the home of the bride's parents, MR. and MRS. A.J.P. BARNES, Wednesday, March 23, l898, at 7:30 p.m., REV. MILTON BOYDSTON officiating, W.D. BOYDSTON and MISS BESSIE BARNES. The relatives of the families, with half a dozen intimate friends, made up the company.

The wedding march was played by MISS MAGGIE TAGGART. The bridal couple was attended by MADGE BARNES and MARION BOYDSTON. The bridal flowers were beautiful pink roses. Congratulations were generous, refreshments delicious, and good cheer was everywhere. Many beautiful tokens were left them by friends at home and abroad. They will reside in the MRS. BOYDSTON residence just north of the west school house.

A host of friends extend them well wishes. Both are well and favorably known, having lived much of their lives in this community. Both have been active in business and social circles.
