Mary and Nancy Ann Gardner Married Boydstuns

Nancy Ann Gardner daughter of Jacob Gardner and unk wife born in Miami Tribe was born after 1766 and married John Boydstun. Both Nancy Ann and Mary were part of the 1790 Rutherford Co NC...no TN census

Mary Gardner Born about 1777 married Benjamin Boydstun

both John and Benjamin Boydstun were sons of James Boydstun and Mary Pruitt. (born in MD)

James Boydstun was a veteran of the Rev. War. I found records of payment to him and Jacob Gardner who was a scout not a veteran, in Bristol TN where Jacob owned land briefly.

The Gardner family along with the Boydstuns moved to KY about 1792 Lincoln County then moved to Barren Co by 1801.

Possible because of their Indian heritage on both their father and mothers sides, (father was Scot-Irish and Catawba) Mother was probably Miami-- the John Boydstun and Benjamin Boydstun families moved north to Knox Co Ill. Indian Point township. Mary died there and her family moved on to Texas.

There is a lot of mis-information on RootsWeb concerning this family.

The only Brothers of Mary and Nancy Ann Gardner were William born in 1770 and John born after 1777.

Both William and John lived in Barren Co KY. John moved to TN sometime after the first tax records were recorded.
