It looks like several of the kids of James Boydstun/sometimes spelled Boidstun in the census, went to Il. Mary and Nancys families went to Indian Point in Knox Co Il. If you trace down the ones that went to Texas and then trace your family upward then you will know if your kin are the ones that went from NC to Barren Co KY to IL and Texas.

I think the ones that went to Mississipi and then to Ark, Texas and MO are the ones that married into the Indians of Mississippi and went west. I havent connected the two groups of Boydstuns.
