Hi Amy, I haven't seen many postings in the last 3 years on the Boykin family located in MS. My g-g-g-g grandfather was John Boykin (abt.1735/1744 - 1836). He was born in VA and went to MS around the mid 1820s. He brought with him 5 children, all born in VA: Nancy b.1810, William H. b.1811, John Pittman b. 1813, Drury Debury b. 1818, Simon D. b. 1826. I am descended from Drury. Although, there are lots of documents on the Boykin family, very little seems to be known about this branch - I have yet to discover who the mother to these children were. Let me know if any of these names sound familiar to you. My group lived mainly in Hinds Co. Provide some dates and I'll see if any of your names can be found in any of my paperwork. Happy hunting - if you are just getting started - let me warn you - you are about to get really hooked on this stuff! Pam
