Hi Helen,
I did quite a lot of research at one time on Edward and Cecelia, and will outline all I have.
Edward George Boyland,(Southampton,Hants) married Cecelia Wellington (Southampton,Hants) on 29th June 1868 at Parish Church of All Saints, Southampton,Hants.(Edward was Naval Engineer so moved about quite a lot)
Parents of Edward were from Stockland,Devon, and Cecelia was from Cheltenham,Gloucester.both born circa 1842.
Father of Cecelia was Thomas Wellington,a Tailor, also father of Edward was a Tailor.(All of this from Marriage Certificate.)Both Edward and Cecelia could sign their names at time of marriage.I would like a little more info on Parents of Cecelia,if you have any?
They had four children, George Harry,Herbert Edward, and Mary Cecelia, these three were baptised from 29 Prince George Street,Portsea.Frederick James baptised from 69 Union Street,Portsea. As late as 1884 they had the latter address, but after that time I have nothing,I hope this may have been of some use to you.If I can help further, please ask.
Kind Regards,
Ron Boyland
