Samuel C. Bozarth did die in the Civil War. A book on his second wife's
family, the Alleys, entitled "Our Common Heritage" states this fact. Our
Bozarths and related families in Taney and Douglas Counties were pro-Union (with, I believe, few exceptions) and probably belonged to Company F, 73rd Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (EMM).
