Hi George,Yes, we are talking about the same family.Several researchers cling to the story of two brothers coming to America with Baron DeKalb, but that has never been proven.Jonathan's military records printed in Bozarth Beacon are copies of original copies. Many people have joined DAR and SAR thru his military record.John Bozarth his brother was never in the military accept as a wagon-driver in Braddocks Campaign while he was an early teen. There were many errors in the letter written by Joseph Preston Bozarth. Many Bozarth researchers have thoroughly researched the "two brothers" theory and can find no proof. We have Jonathan's military record, as I wrote before, and no mention is made of Baron DeKalb. Jonathan received 560 acres at Cave Springs, Grayson Co. KY for his military service.I hope that I have helped you in your research. If you have more questions please e-mail me at [email protected]. If anyone does have proof of the "two brothers" theory I would be happy to learn about it.Gayle (Rose) Mark, Editor Bozarth Beacon
