Dear CUZ Ron,
Thanx for the follow up. I too have read several accounts of what's wrong with "The Horn Papers" by Ted and others. I do not doubt that "The Horn Papers" are mostly fiction. THAT ISSUE IS UNDOUBTEDLY SETTLED.
I am revisiting names and events in the "Papers" only because I believe the author didn't write all of the detailed information completely from his imagination -- the "Papers" are probably based on some small facts, (one example: Without some factual basis it is statistically impossible that the Bozarth/Benjamin Borden connection could be accounted for by "pure fiction"). If Creaux and Mrs. Bozarth ever existed, I want to know.
If the "Papers" have some small basis in family lore, I want to know that too.
And now, with the proliferation of PC's and Forums like this one, the family can access information and talk to other members who may have information that they have not had any opportunity in the past to share.
I hope anyone interested in "The Horn Papers", Creaux and Mrs. Bozarth reviews your submittal, FORUM NUMBER 95. It pretty well sums up the accepted overview of "The Horn Papers".
I sure appreciate your information and efforts. Let's see if some of our cousins know any historical character named (or nicknamed) Creaux Bozarth. Thanx again. CUZ Cee
