Jesse Dee, "Dock", DeKalb Co. TN links

I am just starting to research the family. My paternal great-grandfather was Jesse Dee Bozarth whom I knew as "Pa Dee."(Jr.?).

Since I am quite clueless on how to find the correct lines, I am guessing based on some info I found at Family

So far my best guesses link him to Levi, decendant of Samuel Bossart. His father, Jesse Dee, was called "Dock" because of his job, along with Jesse, Jr., on a river barge along the Cumberland River in Nashville.

I have the benefit of living near DeKalb County, TN where many Bozarths are buried. So if you are looking for specific directions to cemeteries, I may be able to assist.

Also, to clarify for some people who may only have minor connections to the family, Smithville, TN is in DeKalb County. Sparta, TN is in White County. Silver Point is technically in Putnam County (I believe), but in both cases, the communities where these Bozarths lived/died are on the county lines. This has apparently resulted in some confusion over the location of birth/death/marriage.

One more request: If anyone has information about the community of Bozarth in DeKalb County, TN please email me.

Thanks for your patience with us newcomers.
