Hi Cousin,

I have been to the family cemetery you refer to near Hog Creek on the former Bozarth farm. In fact I remember visiting it when my great, great uncle Leonard Cory Bozarth still lived on the farm and was saddened when he passed away in 1973 (July 6, 1973) and his house was taken down. I am not familiar with the Roy Bozarths you mention but found it interesting that one of your Roys passed away the same year as my Uncle Leonard. I will check with my mother who gre up in La Plata, which is right next to Kirksville and see if she has any information for you. I can tell you that Leonard Cory Bozarth and my great grandmother Ollie Francis Bozarth Thomas were children of Lemuel Cory Bozarth (February 7, 1857 to December 6, 1938) and Mary Elizabeth Schott (April 23, 1862 to October 12, 1930). Both were Lifelong residents of Adair County. Lemuel's parents were Beverly Alexander Bozarth (January 15, 1822 Howard Co., Missouri to November 25, 1903 Adair Co., Missouri) and Francis Mildred Jackson (May 26, 1824 (NC?)to August 27, 1896 Adair Co., Mo.)(Incidentally, through the Jacksons it appears that we may be descended from Sarah Ball, George Washington's second cousin). Beverly was the son of Andrew Bozarth and Alcey Hargis. Andrew was the son of Jonathan Bozorth and Lucy Alexander. Jonathan was the son of Joseph Bozorth and Elizabeth Unknown. Joseph was the son of John Bozorth and Innocent Borden. John was the son of Simon Bozorth and Mary Marson or Mason. Please e-mail me if you want further info. Your line will certainly connect in somewhere, probably around Beverly or Andrew.
