I just posted a message under Squire Bozarth of Oregon, and then found this thread.
Somehow, the Bozarth family is connected to my Wilcox line.
In the 1870's the Bozarth family lived near my Wilcox family in Rice Co, KS. By the 1890's Joel Wilcox, his sister Thirza Kimmis, and Harry Burlew (who was md to Florence Bozarth, and her sister Ethel lived with them), all lived very near each other in Denver, CO.
Immediately following the 1906 earth quake in San Francisco, my grand parents, James Jessie (real name Durst) and Mabel Inez Nichols, fled SF and went to live with Harry Burlew and his family in Denver. An odd thing to do unless they had a pretty close connection. James Jessie-Durst had lived in Denver prior to coming to SF. His father was James Durst and mother, Lizzie Kimmis. Her mother was Thirza Wilcox Kimmis, the sister of Joel Wilcox. The Wilcox family and the Bozarth family became neighbors again in a different branch in the Oregon Territory in 1847, perhaps had come out on the same wagon train.
