I need proof of a family connection

My husband is Ray Irvin Boze. His father was Ray Irvin Boze married to Anna Breedlove in Ark. Ray Sr.'s father was Marshall Boze, born in Mo. in 1859, 2nd wife Lucy Dobbs. He died in Ark. in 1918 or 1919> We are told that we go back to Hardy Boze. I have found Marshall living with his Aunt, Martha Boze Couch and at abe 21 with some Olivers. I would like to know who Marshals father was. We understand it would be Lucas, Alexander or James. I would appreciate any help anyone can give.
