I am a descendant of Avery and Leatha Claxton. They lived in Bedford Co TN in 1850. By 1860 Avery was dead and Leatha was remarried to Isaac Boze. They are listed on the 1860 Bedford Co Census. By 1861 they were in Caldwell Co Ky where they gave consent for Leatha's daughter Sarah Claxton to marry Joseph Lisenby. By 1870 Leatha appears to be a widow again. Her Boze children are Isaac, Margaret, and Morgan. I think there is a possibility that Isaac (12 years old in 1870) may be a child of Sarah Norville who died in Bedford Co ca 1859. Isaac Sr was the administrator of her estate. The Court House in Bedford Co burned in 1863 and many records were lost. Do you know if there is a Ky Death Certificate for Isaac Jr.
