BRADBURY - Lancashire, England
I'm researching Joseph and Ellen Bradbury. I was able to see a Baptism film of St. Helens which included Windle, Ashton, Parr, Hardshaw, and Blackbrook. It seems most of them were children of Laborers and Colliers (Coal worker.)When kids are listed under the name Joseph and Ellen as parents but the place changes, it's hard to tell if they really belong. It now turns out that there were two families here - both with parents called Joseph and Ellen and both with sons's called Peter. Here is a list of kids who could be with either set of parents.Anyway I have no proof as yet but it appears thekids were: Peter 1823 of Windle, Dinah 1825 in Hardshaw?,Marcia 1827 of Hardshaw? These two in Hardshaw I don't know about. Martha 1829 St. Helens,Samuel 1833 St.Helens,William 1837,Peter 1837 St. Helens, Ann 1839 St. Helens, Jane 1841 St. Helens, Joseph Oct.22,1843 St. Helens and another Joseph Dec.17, 1843 St.Helens. (This can't be but...) So I guess there could be two family's at the same time and same places and name?
