I have that my Peter Bradbury's christening was held at Gee Cross Unitarian NC, Hyde, Cheshire, England in 1802. His parents were Thomas and Nanny Bradbury.
In 1840 he came to America with his wife Martha Deplich Bradbury and son John Depleitch Bradbury through the port of New Orleans-
his son was around 9 years old.
Later his father at age 60 is a soldier in the Civil War and is killed at Concord NH in 1863. It is said his son John tried to enter the military but they would not take him because his father was already a soldier.
I will dig in my files, I think from D.C. Dean I have some more information- believe also there are notes of the Bradbury traveling band- this was possibly how Peter and a brother and families made money to travel up the Mississipi.
John D. became a tanner and his early years were spent near Syracuse NY where he met his wife Marion Murphy. Then they travelled to Lewis County NY, maybe to work in the tanneries here.
Johns daughter would be my grgrgrandmother, she had siblings who went west and my great grandmother and her husband kept in contact with these cousins and visited back and forth.
