Thanks for the info. I do not know how much help I will be. The McMeans I am looking for were in Tazewell, VA, in the early to mid 1800s and then some of them moved to KY after the Civil War. Do you know where your McMeans were from before Iowa? I was hoping there might be some tie here because I know the name Blanche was used quite often by the family. Thanks!
