I hope the little bit I have about the McMeans ancestors will create a link. These McMeans have been my "stonewall" - my greatest frustration. While the Bradstreets and the Dudleys are wonderfully documented in the records - not so the McMeans. John McMeans' parents were James McMeans, MD born in Ohio October 4, 1807 and Eliza McClure born August 14. 1815 in Mercer County, PA. James'parents were James McMeans and Elizabeth Black (no dates - but some clues indicate they might also be from Mercer County, PA. ) I would love to know about the other Blanche McMeans - that might be helpful to me in the future.
