My Abrams family is originally from Focsani Romania. Abraham (no last name in the late 1800's) had two children that I know of. One is Samuel, the other I don't know the name of. Samuel came to America in 1900, with his wife and 4 children. The name they were given was Abrams at Ellis Island. Samuel's brother married and had children in Ireland, before moving to London. He used the last name of Braham. Braham means son of Abraham in England, which is the same as Abrams meaning son of Abraham in America. Samuel had 4 children, Blanche, Frank, Samuel and Jake. The Braham side in England had 5 children, Cecelia, Annie, Freda, Mona and Alan.
