My great grandfather,Pierce Marsten Brahan,is the son of James Brahan & Elizabeth Murphy m 5/20/1857 at St.Mullins Parish, County Carlow, Ireland.

Ellen Kehoe and Pierce Marsten Brahan are my great grandparents on my maternal side. My mother and I have both been to Ireland and are planning another trip now that we know where to look. We believe that Brahan may have come from Brahana, apparently an “address” required by St. Mullins Parish, County Carlow. Also, one of Pierce’s siblinge, Anne, was from Templenabo….. we’re still looking to confirm. Hoosick Falls, New York at St. Mary’s Cemetary is where a lot of Kehoe’s are buried. Ellen’s brother Willaim brought her to America when she was 16. I have a letter from her son, Francis (Frank) George Brahan, who was my mother’s uncle.
