GEORGE BRAILSFORD left PA abt. 1907 and went to Houston County, TX as a part of a real estate venture with the Louisiana-Texas Orchard Co. Quite a few families moved to what is now Latexo, Houston Co., TX, bought land and settled there with their families. GEORGE BRAILSFORD had a son named THOMAS R. (TOMMY) BRAILSFORD b.1894 and died in WWI in 1918. The local Brailsford-English American Legion Post in Crockett, Houston Co., TX is named for TOMMY BRAILSFORD. The local Historical Commission in Houston Co., TX is seeking information and would appreciate any information on this family.
