I borrowed a copy of the book "Brailsford and Ednaston - A Thousand Years On" from Allestree libary, in Derbyshire, because my side of the family were from Brailsford. However, my husband is descended from Jane Brailford b 1796 Mansfield, Notts. The name Brailsford has come down in the family as a middle name. My husband's father was the last to have the name.

Strangley we now live a few miles from Brailsford and our son went to Brailsford playgroup and appears in picture in the book of the Brailsford Playgoup dated 1985. It was quite a suprise to see him in a book about the a thousand years of history as he was the youngest person in our family tree at the time.
