Hi Dianne,

Mary Susan Skrine, Christiana's daughter, was born in 1813 and died in 1877 on Edisto Island, where she is buried. She married Jabez John Randall Wescoat. They had ten children.

Thomas had a woman named Charity Townsend in his household in the 1870 census. She was Mulatto. She died in March 1888 as Charity Townsend Skrine, no marital status given. ???

Tacitus died June 16, 1822 in Charleston. Cause of death was "debility". (He was only 33!) He was buried in the churchyard of the Circular Church but my son and I walked the entire graveyard and could not find his grave. Many markers are weather-worn and illegible.

Chriatiana died some time before 1828. That was when her sister Elizabeth asked the court's permission to take control of a trust of six slaves that Mary Brailsford had set up for Christiana.

Hope this info helps. Gladys
