Richard, you can get information on the Branch DNA project at Familytreedna.com The y-DNA test will only give you information about your surname, it won't tell you about your Branch line. The family finder test will give you names of cousins that you are related to from both your mother and dad's lines. If you find cousins through the family finder test who have a Branch connection, that would help you trace your Branch line. If you know of a male Branch cousin who is willing to be tested that would give you much better way of following your Branch line.

If I can answer any more question you can contact me at ruabranch2@aol.com I really appreciate your interest. We need more Branch participants in the DNA project. That's the only way we'll ever sort the Branch lines out.
