Sharlotte,
I married into the Branscum's, therefore, I do not have much information.I do not know of any Rebecca, but that does not mean she is not linked. The Branscum's in that area are Cherokee.Just by chance, my mother moved to Marshall, AR.which is in Searcy county (the county next to Stone county). There are lots of Branscum's in Searcy county too.My mother, Darleene, is working in the tribal office for The Lost Cherokee of Arkansas and Missouri. website:lostcherokee.org.I say all that to say, You may want to contact her and see if she has some records for you.She is extremely busy. She is suppose to be looking for me.My husband's great grandfather's name was James Branscum, grandfather Bluford Branscum.I will check with my father-in-law tomorrow on if he had any Aunts and Uncles.Perhaps I will discover some hidden treasure.Sorry I wasn't more help.
