My Great, Great Grandfather Simeon Brant II was also a veteran of the war of 1812 & fought with the regular Army in the Battle of Black Rock on the Canadian frontier. I have some of his paper work from the library of congress. I understand HIS Father Simeon Brant I also fought in the Revolutionary War. Any info on any of this ? Simeon II family had a lumber mill in N.Y. State & moved to Berrien County, Mich in 1832. He's burried in the Brant cemetary on Park Rd. in Berrien County, Mich. I was raised there on my Grandpa Orval L. Brant's farm about 1/2 mile from cemetary. My own burial spot is there also. armest regards, cousin Joard.
