ANDREW B. ESTES, attorney at law, Blackshear, Ga., is a native of Buford County, S. C., and was born June 26, 1858. His father, Andrew B., was born in Brownwell District, S. C., and was a Baptist minister. He moved to southwest Georgia in 1864, but in 1868 returned to his native State, where he died March 4, 1885. His wife, Anna C. Willingham, was born in Beaufort County, S. C., and was the mother of thirteen children. Andrew B. was reared on the farm and received an academic education. In 1878 he commenced to read law with Capt. John C. Nicholls, of Blackshear, Ga., and was admitted to the bar in 1879. He has been practicing in Blackshear, having attained more than an ordinary degree of success in the legal profession. He is regarded as one of south Georgia's ablest attorneys and has a fine practice. December 19, 1882, he was married to Miss Margaret L. Brantley, daughter of Benjamin D. and Jennette (McCrae) Brantley, of Blackshear, Ga. They are the parents of two children, viz.: Benjamin and an infant not yet named. Mr. Estes is a member of the F. and A. M. and the Baptist Church.
