Carolyn, Thank you so much for the info re John H., my 2 ggrandfather. I believe that James S. and he were brothers since both served in the 125 PA Inf.Company "B." John H. received a Surgeon's Certificate and was discharged. I wonder where this line of Brantners originated, if they were Palatines, migrated from MD? Didn't know you were related!
