To the best of my knowledge it was a town called Waitzfeld. Do you have any knowledge of it? Also, an elderly aunt in the 1970's told me he came from Prussia but did not have any other information. If your family was originally Brautigam, do you have any idea on where they may have come from, and when they arrived in the countrry. Also, what port did they arrive at.
