?New BRAUTIGAM cousin found as BRANTIGAN

Hi All, Guess what?! Have tenatively located a cousin. The name they have been researching is BRANTIGAN. But, on some old birth certs they have, the spelling is BRAUTIGAM and no one knew why. So, I explained about the German name and what happened to it in England. We seem to share the same gg/grandparents: George BRAUTIGAM and Maria Hannah CASSIDY married in 1859 in London [see my other post about BRAUTIGAM in London]. Just wanted to share. It seems some of his BRANTIGANs left England for Ontario [Toronto] and then headed into the USA, some in MI. Hope this helps someone. Deb in Tallahassee, FL
