Elizabeth "Lily" Brayton (June 23, 1876 - April 30, 1953) was born in Hindley, near Wigan, in Lancashire, England. She married Oscar Asche (1871-1936) in June 1898.

Lily and Oscar were members of Frank Benson's theatrical company in the 1890s and both appeared in many plays up to and after the 1914-18 war - their most famous being in the long-running Chu Chin Chow.

Her sister Agnes Cottam Brayton was born in 1878; she was also a member of Benson's company. Sometimes known as "Belos" she married Edward R Smith in London in 1915. Does anyone have any further detail on her ?
