William Breeden n Ruth Bodie (Nicholson?
Trying to find out where the name Ruth Bodie came from in regards to William Breeden (ing) of Rockingham - Kanawha Co Va?
I beleive that Ruth may actually be Rutha Nicholson who married William Breeden on 22 December 1825.
Based on the 1840 Page county census records I have a William Breeden with the following childre:
1 male - 5 n under (Hamilton V.)
2 males - 5 - 10 years old (William n Francis M.)
1 male - 10 - 15 years old (Ambrose)
1 male - 30 - 40 years old (William)
2 females - 10 - 15 years old (Martha)
1 female - 15 - 20 years old
1 female 30 - 40 years old (Rutha)
The daughters don't fit as nicely into the slots yet if Ruth and William were married in 1825 and their first child is listed as abt 1831 (Martha Ann) then their could be other daughters, based upon some females being married in the 1840's that remain unconnected to any family at this time ie Ann Elizabeth Breeding married Emmanuel Jollett, Elizabeth Breeding married John McCauley.
The second part of this is that I beleive he is probally the son of James Allison Breeing and Nancy Ann Tanner. Thier location on the 1840 census is close to James' with James' other sons being located in the same area. The age would put his birth about the same time frame as Paschael Breeden's.
Watching the change in Paschael's birth date on the census records he could be born anywhere between 1805 - 1810. He is listed as being born abt 1805 but I beleive that William should go thier and Paschael is probally closer to 1808.
William Breeden, who if often though to be his father, family are accounted for on the 1840 Rockingham Co census.
From the resoloution of James Breeding's will William and James' families where in the Page / Rockingham Co area but lived in two different area's.
