Bryant Breeding 1730 Goldvein,VA
Bryant Breden/Bredin later known as Bryant Breeding born 1700-1715, died abt 1778 married to Elizabeth. Time of death married to Sarah. He first appears near present Goldvein,VA renting 50 acres from Mr.Conway. About 10 year later he purchases 200 acres nearby from Mr. Earle. Above information taken from the Breeding/Breeden genealogical exchage 1991 thru 1994.Custom of the times are that if you owned 500 acres you are considered a gentleman. People owning less than 500 acres called a planter. Planters made their living by using their hands cultivating the land. One wrung below a planter is yeoman. Bryant in 1730was a planter. If Bryant desc from Capt. Thomas Breedon, one time Governor of Novia Scotia, later rich merchant in Boston, what explanation for Bryant being kinda poor in 1730. Thanks, Pat Owen Breeding, Falls Of The Ohio.
