Breeding & Breeden, Same People?

Can anyone tell me if the Breeding and the Breeden lines are the same line? I'm confused about who belongs in which line is they are not the same. My husband's family came from Bryant Breeding, born about 1700 in England, moved to Virginia and started his family there. They then stretched out across the whole U.S. Are the Breeden people from this line also? Any help on this would be much appreciated.
