I am looking for any descendants from the Breeding family of Overton County, TN. I have quite a bit of information and photos to exchange.
My specific line for the Breedings is
Bryant Breeding (1780-???? – after 1850) m. Lettie Horn (1790-1849)
They had the following children:
1. Elizabeth Breeding 1804-????
2. Bryant Breeding (1808-1878) married Mariah Miller (~1812-1886)
3. Emilia Breeding (1810-????)
4. Isabel Breeding (1812-????)
5. Rachel Breeding (1814-????)
6. Sena Breeding (1816-????)
7. Stephen H. Breeding (1818-1876) married Diannah ????
8. Martha Breeding (~1819-????)
9. Byron Breeding (1821-1901) **** This is my g-g-g-grandfather and he married Patience Ann ???? (1825-????). We have pictures and photos of Byron. ****
10. John C. Breeding (1826-????)
My g-g-g-grandfather, Byron Breeding married Patience Ann (Unknown last name) and had the following children:
1. John Hugh Breeding (1842-1907) married Nancy Jane Gregg (1842-1907). This family would later re-locate to Texas and we have some limited information on this arm of the family.
2. James J. Breeding (1846-1929) Married Martha Rector (1846-????) and then later married Lydia (Lettie) Mattews (1846-1909). James J. Breeding and his second wife lived in Carroll County Arkansas and we have some limited information on descendants from this arm.
3. Louisa Breeding (1849-????)
4. George M Breeding (1851-????)
5. Andrew J. Breeding (1853-????) married Finie (Phiney) Morriss (~1856-????)
6. Joel Huston Breeding (1855-1906) married Bell Wilson (1863-1908). **** This is my g-g-grandfather. We have lots of information and pictures of his family with his father Byron. He would also relocate to Carroll County, AR in the 1880's.
7. Ferdinon Breeding (1860-????)
8. Mary Jane Breeding (1865-????)
As I mentioned, we have knowledge on several arms of this family. Part of this family re-located from Overton County, TN to Carroll County, AR in the late 1870's. We know of at least 5 of the Breedings mentioned above moved: Two of the first family of brothers - Stephen Breeding and Byron Breeding (Byron left his wife and re-married).
Of their children, we know of three that re-located: Joel George (Stephen's son) and James J. (Byron's son) and Joel Huston (Byron's son).
We have acquired quite a lot of photos and stories on parts of this family and are looking for any descendants of the either of these Breeding families so that we can meet and exchange information.
