Thank you, Ralph. As you suggested, I joined the Irish Family History Foundation, put money in my account, and, using your guidance, looked at 4 baptism records that could be records for my gr grandfather, Thomas Maurice Breen. I know his birthdate is Sept. 26, 1850 (death certificate and his tombstone--that helps). One of the 4 records shows a birth/baptism of 29/09/1850, but the name is spelled Breene. My questions are, did they baptise the children the day they were born, and what are the odds that this child was my gr grandfather?
