Parents of Mary Brean/Breen Tarbox, Lynn, MA, bc 1675
Posted by: Dorothy Drake (ID *****2062) Date: March 28, 2010 at 09:43:03

Mary married Ebenezer Tarbox on 15 April, 1700 in Lynn, Essex, MA. She is said to have been of Boxford/Salem, MA. I can find no clue to her parents and yet there was a Thomas Brane, age 40, who came on the ship "Abigail" from London to Boston, MA in 1635, as a servant of Dennis Geere from Ilsford, Suffolk, England. Thomas apparently had a wife named Agnes, though she is not listed with him among the passengers; she appears as a widow in Salem 2 years later. Yet these could not be Mary's parents, perhaps her grandparents.

There is a reference in the History of Lynn, MA to "Old Breen" the doctor's wife's father, at the doctor's, died 29, 5, 1731 at Lynn, MA.

Could this refer to Mary Brean Tarbox's father? Was her husband, Ebenezer, a doctor???

Many thanks to anyone who can help with answers.
