t. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, Nov. 14, 1929. Social Events. Gave Luncheon-Shower. Mrs. Peter Foley and daughter Marie gave a charming luncheon and shower on Saturday, November 9, at 1 p.m. in honor of Miss Bernice Dolan of Chicago, niece of Mrs. Foley, whose engagement was recently announce to Edwin Thomas Breen, also of Chicago.
The table was beautifully decorated with yellow and white and the centerpiece was a miniature bride and attendants. An excellent luncheon was served and afterward the bride-to-be was presented with gifts for her kitchen, all of which were lovely and useful. The guests were from Chicago, Crystal Lake, Woodstock, Huntley and Elgin. The wedding will take place some time in January. Mr. Breen is a graduate of Notre Dame and is practicing law in Chicago. Miss Dolan is a graduate of St. Mary's Notre Dame, Ind. (Posted as a courtesy from an old newspaper. Not related.)
