New information on Timothy Brees. The information is from The Church of Latter Day Saints. Brees Family Records: 1751-1985
Timothy Brees was born in 1751 in Morristown, New Jersey. He enlisted in the Revolutionary War. His claim number was S 42632. Little is known about Timothy except that he lived in Pennsylvania, (his children's birthplaces), Indiana, where he was a landowner. Ohio, where he filed his pension claim, and finally Iowa. Timothy married three times. His first wife was Elizabeth Wolff, second wife was Elizabeth Doty, and third wife was Catherine Marsh. He has 12 children, one with his first sife, and the reat with his second wife. He died October 26, 1847 at 96 years of age.

Family names in the record include Brees, Wolff,Doty, Marsh, and related families.

The Brees Family appears to have originated in Wales. Member of the family inter-married with other families which lived in Wales. These families included James, Evans, Nicholas, and Vaughan. Descendants immigrated to America and settled in Ohio and other parts of the United States. If anybody has any information for me, it would be deeply appeciated. Thanking you in advance, Mary Jane Kellogg (Rateliff)
