Tombstone in Floyd County, Iowa, shows "Jacob Brenneisen 1810-1897." I believe I found him at the LDS website in the IGI listing as "JOHANN JAKOB BRENNEISEN", born 14 Dec 1810, in Hauingen, Loerrach, Baden, Germany, to JOHANN JAKOB BRENNEISEN AND MARIA EVA BUERGER. And it shows a JOHANN JAKOB BRENNEISEN that married ANNA MARIA BUEHLER on 28 May 1835, in Haningen, Loerrach, Baden, Germany. These are the parents shown to two of his children that I also found at the LDS site; so I know these must be my great-grandparents! According to their youngest child's (Earnestine Brenneisen Rollier) obituary, she came to this country as a young girl with her parents and settled near Lutherville, Arkansas. Earnestine was born 14 Nov 1864, at Houinger, Auder Plarach, Baden, Germany. It is handed down, however, that her mother (Anna) died in childbirth and he came to this country with his children (8 of them) in 1867. Earnestine was born in 1864; so this is possible. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF THIS FAMILY??????? Would like to more about the BRENNEISEN'S, BUERGER'S AND BUEHLER'S!
