you may have finally given me the link i need.

my gggf's name was elma dorus bunting (10/23/1858 cambridge springs, pa to 2/29/1948 los angeles, ca), and he got his unusual name from his mother's family, adell/adella berzee (1841 pa to 1903 pa). the story goes that this "french" family had an elma dorus in each generation, but not always in direct succession. adell's brother, elma dorus brasee, lived near the rest of them in crawford co, pa. and yes, i realize they each spelled it differently.

i know adell's father was benjamin (berzee) (born ny or pa), and that her mother was eliza douglas (born @1823)(herself of edward douglas & mary wykoff), but i've never found where benjamin came from or any more elma dorus berzee/brasee/bresee/etc.

could you tell me anything more on the elma dorus b... ancestry (dates, places, and maybe stories) or where i should find them?

any help would be greatly appreciated, and thank you so much!!!

eric
