Caleb (age 54) and his wife Almira (age 52) or Almyra (sorry for my earlier typo) can be found living in Scotland County, Missouri, in the 1860 census. "Melinda Bresee", age 78, is in the same household. Caleb and Almira were also the parents of Jeremiah Crandall. Malinda is buried a mile or two from where these Crandalls owned land in Scotland County, Missouri.

Almira's birth year should be about 1806-1809, which fits nicely in the gap of 1804-1811 in the 2003 posting of Jeremiah's children (message 49, this forum) in 2003.

All this would seem to imply that Almira's parents were Jeremiah and Melinda Bresee. A cousin had filled in "Almira Brasin" on a group sheet, but I do not know where she found this.

Not absolute proof, but fits very well.
