Thanks for the tombstone transcription for Melinda. I had wondered where she had gone. Could you give me the transcriptions for Elizabeth (Bresee) and Caleb Crandall's also.

Bruce Davis and I have been interested for awhile in sorting out this Jeremiah Bresee line and seem to have several potential children for he and Melinda but the "proof" has been little. I had not seen a daughter Almyra listed before until you mentioned it. What source did you have for her being their daughter? Of course, Melinda living with Almyra and Caleb Crandall in the 1860 Scotland Co. MO census sure adds credence to that thought.

It looks like this Melinda was in the home of a John J. Bresee in Stephenson Co. IL in 1850. Wonder if that was another child of Melinda and Jeremiah?

We Bresee folks appreciate your information.
