Hi Bruce-
When I posted the "potential" descendants of Jeremiah and Melinda it was with the hope of finding some proof. Then I did not work on the Bresee line for some time. As I gain more current info, I am doubtful of the accuracy of the entire list I posted which was intended as food for thought and discussion.

Assuming our Melinda is the one buried in Scotland Co. MO (and thanks to Rik for her tombstone transcription), she was born about 1783. She could NOT have possibly been the mother of Harmon or Esther. Your info on Harmon is more likely (can you provide the source please).

If you look at the close vicinity of Melinda, Nancy and David, in early census after Jeremiah died, they appear to be a close relation and 1830 they all live close to a John Bresee age 70-80. I will email you direct with what census and other data I have on all the "potential" children of Jeremiah. Let's compare data, sort through the more logical based on source data and maybe we can come up with a better list of Jeremiah's children.

Thanks and I look forward to more correspondence.

Pat Gilbert
